Ed Jones
Ed is primarily a scriptwriter and has written for Brookside, The Bill and Holby City. He has also had two short films produced by Channel 4 and BBC 2 and has plays regularly produced by BBC Radio 4. Ed’s stage play Exit Salford received rave reviews at 2009’s 24:7 Theatre Festival and was selected to take part in the 2010 Replay Festival at the Library Theatre. He has written five novels and one children's book and his work has been translated into German, Danish and Dutch. His radio play Glad To Be Back won one of the top two prizes in BBC Radio's Alfred Bradley Playwriting Competition.
As a director, Ed uses advanced physical theatre techniques advocated by Lecoq, Decroux and Grotowski as well as having a great deal of experience with street theatre and circus skills. He is also an acting and writing tutor at the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester.
